Blood Donation Camp

XYZ School, 20 March, 2019: Now in the scorching heat of summer there is a lot of crisis of blood. So, our school arranged a Blood Donation Camp yesterday in our school. The whole school was nicely and georgiously decorated by the students. This programme was held in the school hall. A medical team of doctors and nurses from Arambagh Hospital came to collect blood.
After arrival of the Medical Team, all of the volunteers arranged the beds in the school hall. Dr. K. Basu, the famous doctor of the Local Health Centre was invited as the Chief Guest. Mr. M. Bag, our Headmaster presided over the programme. The President of the programme Mr.M. Bag inaugurated the programme with his touching speech. The camp started at 11.00 a.m. and continued up to 2.00 p.m. All our teachers, some students and the willing villagers also donated blood. They all participated the noble programme because they know that one drop of blood can save a life. 500 donors donated blood on that day. All the donors were given a packet of nutritious food and healthy juice. The camp came to an end at 3.30 p.m. We returned home with a good experience which makes us feel fortunate.
