Mother India has produced a great many famous personalities. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, a wonderful motivator, an exceptional teacher and a great scientist, was one of them. He was the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. Bharat Ratna Abdul Kalam took birth on October 15 in 1931 at Rameswaram in Tamilnadu. The full name of Abul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam. He took birth in a lower middle class Tamil family. His father was Jainulabdeen and mother was Ashiamma. He completed his early education at Rameshwaram.
He had to face a lot of economic hardships. yet he completed Aeronautical Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology. in his later life he joined Defence Research and Development Organisation and Indian Space Research Organisation as an eminent scientist. Kalam made India self reliant in ballistic missile and satellite launch vehicle technology. He had a lot of contribution in making India strong in military warfare. His famous books include Wings of Fire, Ignited Mind etc. Though this Missile Man of India breathed his last on 27th July in 2015, he lives in the hearts of every Indian.
