Present Indefinite Tense || সাধারণ বর্তমান কাল বা নিত্য বর্তমান কাল
সাধারণত: যাই/গিয়ে থাকি, করি/করে থাকি, খাই/খেয়ে থাকি/পরি/পরে থাকি, খেলি/খেলি থাকি, ঘুমাই/ঘুমিয়ে থাকি ইত্যাদি ধরণের বাংলা ক্রিয়াপদ থাকলে, তার ইংরেজি অনুবাদ করার সময় Present Indefinite Tense বা সাধারণ বর্তমান কাল বা নিত্য বর্তমান কাল ব্যবহৃত হয়।
অর্থাৎ এই Tense – এর মাধ্যমে কোন কাজ বা ঘটনা বর্তমান কালে বা এখন সাধারনভাবে হয় বা ঘটে থাকে বোঝায়।
কোন অভ্যাসগত কাজ (Habitual Truth) বোঝাতে এই টেন্স (Tense) ব্যবহার করা হয়।
কোন চিরন্তন সত্য ঘটনা বা ইউনিভার্সাল ট্রুথ (universal truth) বোঝাতে এই Tense ব্যবহার করা হয়।
Present Indefinite Tense – এর ক্ষেত্রে সাবজেক্ট (Subject) বা কর্তা যদি থার্ড পারসন (Third Person), সিঙ্গুলার নাম্বার (Singular Number) হয়, তাহলে ভার্ব (Verb) বা ক্রিয়াপদের শেষে s বা es বা ies যোগ করতে হয়।
