Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I venture to voice my deep concern about the use of plastics and its dangerous effects on environment.
Now- a-days, a great menace to the whole environment is the massive usage of plastic carry bags and packings. People randomly use plastic bags. Plastics are not eco friendly. They are thrown away after usage on streets, parks, footpaths. They are not perishable. The drainage system is stocked with plastics. So, they cause acute water-logging. Even when they are burnt they produce a highly poisonous gas pollute the environment. Jute bag factories are hampered due to plastic bags. They also cause hazard to public health. Aquatic creatures are greatly affected by plastics. It is a true fact that if the production of plastic bags is stopped, the economy of our country will be affected surely. So, the only way out is to evolve a recycling system that will turn them eco-friendly. Otherwise we must avoid using plastic bags to sustain our environment.
Of course, the government should take measures to make the people aware of the evil effects of plastics.
