Sir,

I shall be highly obliged to you if you kindly allow me to ventilate through the columns of your esteemed daily the inconveniences caused by the indiscriminate use of microphones.

The microphone is no doubt a wonderful blessing of modern technology. But the reckless use of microphones is really a headache. The indiscriminate use of microphones is causing great inconvenience to the people, especially to the students during social and religious festivals. The high-pitch of microphones during examination days cause a great nuisance to the students. Even the late hour programmes also cause a lot of disturbance to all.  The old and the weak are greatly disturbed by the indiscriminate use of microphones. Even the little children are affected. It causes sound pollution.

So, the Government should take necessary steps controlling such menace immediately so that people can live peacefully.
