আদেশ মূলক বাক্য বা অনুরোধ মূলক বাক্য বা উপদেশ মূলক বাক্যের Voice Change:

প্রথমেই আমাদের জানতে হবে আদেশ মূলক বা অনুরোধ মূলক বা উপদেশ মূলক বাক্য কাকে বলে?

যেসব বাক্যের মাধ্যমে কাউকে আদেশ করা বা অনুরোধ করা বা উপদেশ দেওয়া বোঝাই তাকেই বলা হয় আদেশ মূলক বা অনুরোধ মূলক বা উপদেশ মূলক বাক্য।

যেমন :
এখানে এসো। অঙ্কটি করো। ( আদেশ মূলক বাক্য)
দয়া করে আমাকে এক গ্লাস জল দাও। (অনুরোধ মূলক বাক্য)
রোদে দৌড়াদৌড়ি করো না। ( উপদেশ মূলক বাক্য)

Imperative Sentence – এর Voice Change আমরা দুই ভাবে করতে পারি-

প্রথমত: Imperative Sentence -এর কিছু কিছু বাক্যে Object বা কর্ম থাকে।
যেমন : উপরের উদাহরণগুলির মধ্যে ‘অঙ্কটি করো” – এই বাক্যটিতে ‘অঙ্কটি’ হলো object বা কর্ম। সুতরাং এই বাক্যটিতে Object বা কর্ম আছে।
তাই Imperative Sentence- এর যেসব বাক্যে Object বা কর্ম থাকে সেইসব বাক্যের Voice Change (Active Voice থেকে Passive Voice) করার নিয়ম টি হলো এই রকম –

i) প্রথমেই Let বসাতে হবে।
ii) Active Voice এর Object টি বসাতে হবে।
iii) একটি ‘be’ বসাতে হবে।
iv) Active Voice -এর বাক্যটির Main Verb-এর Past Participle Form (V-3) টি বসাতে হবে।
iv) বন্ধন এর মধ্যে (by you) লিখতে হবে।

যেমন :

Active Voice – Do the sum. (অঙ্কটি করো)

Passive Voice – Let the sum be done (by you).

*** এক্ষেত্রে Active Voice টি যদি Negative Sentence বা না বাচক বাক্য হয়, তাহলে Passive Voice করার সময় Let এর ঠিক পরেই not বসাতে হবে।

দ্বিতীয়তঃ Imperative Sentence-এ আবার কিছু কিছু বাক্য রয়েছে যার মধ্যে Object বা কর্ম থাকেনা।

যেমন- উপরের উদাহরণগুলির মধ্যে ‘এখানে এসো’ – এই বাক্যটির মধ্যে কোন Object বা কর্ম নেই।

Imperative Sentence-এ যেসব বাক্যের মধ্যে Object বা কর্ম থাকে না, (অর্থাৎ Active Voice টি যদি Intransitive হয়) সেইসব বাক্যের Voice Change (Active Voice থেকে Passive Voice) করার নিয়ম হলো এই রকম –
Imperative Sentence -টির দ্বারা যদি আদেশ করা বা অনুরোধ করা বোঝায় তাহলে You are ordered to / requested to / you are told to + Main Verb থেকে বাকি অংশটি লিখতে হয়। তবে এক্ষেত্রে কোনো নির্দিষ্ট নিয়ম নেই। বাক্যটির অর্থ বুঝে কোথাও should, কোথাও put, আবার কোথাও have, get ইত্যাদি ব্যবহার করতে হয়।

যেমন-
Active Voice- Come here. (এখানে এসো)
Passive Voice- You are ordered to come here.

Active Voice- Please keep off bad habits.

Passive Voice- You are requested to keep off bad habits.

Active Voice- Keep your promise.

Passive Voice- Your promise should be kept/ Let your promise be kept (by you)

যখন Imperative Sentence -এ Active Voice-এর বাক্যটির Subject বা কর্তা নিজে কাজটি না করে অন্য কারও দ্বারা করা বোঝায় তখন সাধারণত: get বা have দিয়ে Passive Voice- এ রূপান্তর করা হয়।

যেমন:

Active Voice – Mend your shoe.

Passive Voice- Get/Have your shoe mended.

আবার Imperative Sentence-এর Active Voice টি যদি ‘Let’ দিয়ে শুরু হয়, তাহলে Passive Voice করার সময় ‘Let’ দিয়ে শুরু করতে হয়।

যেমন:

Active Voice: Let us do it.

Passive Voice: Let it be done by us.

নিয়ম:

i. প্রথমে Let বসাতে হবে।

ii. Active Voice-টির Object টি বসাতে হবে।

iii. একটি be বসাতে হবে ।

iv. একটি ‘by’ Preposition বসাতে হবে।

v. Subject টি Object হিসাবে বসবে।

এখন আমরা Imperative Sentence- এর Voice Change করার যেসব নিয়ম আলোচনা করলাম, সেগুলির কিছু উদাহরণ নীচে দিলাম:

1. Look at the moon.

Ans: Let the moon be looked at (by you).

2. Open the window.

Ans: Let the window be opened (by you).

3. Don’t touch the switch.

Ans: Let not the switch be touched (by you).

4. Do it.

Ans: Let it be done (by you).

5. Let her write this letter.

Ans: Let this letter be written by her.

6. Let him buy a bike.

Ans: Let a bike be bought by him.

7. Do your work.

Ans: Let your work be done (by you).

8. Go there at once.

Ans: You are told to go there at once.

9. Don’t go to bed now.

You are told not to go to bed now.

10. Please post the letter.

Ans: Let the letter please be posted (by you).

11. Open the box.

Ans: Let the box be opened (by you).

12. Take the letter.

Ans: Let the letter be taken (by you).

13. Let me do the work.

Ams: Let the work be done by me.

14. Give up your bad habits.

Ans: Let your bad habits be given up (by you).

15. Come in.

Ans: You are told to come in.

16. Do not run in the sun.

Ans: You are advised not to run in the sun.

17. Wait here.

Ans: You are told to wait here.

18. Put up a tent here.

Ans: Have a tent be put up here.

19. Correct your spellings.

Ans: Get your spellings be corrected.

20. Don’t proceed.

Ans: You are ordered not to proceed.
