SOAS Bishwa Bangla Scholarship: West Bengal.

With much delight SOAS declared the availability of Vishva Bangla Scholarship at SOAS for entry in September 2019. So, they announced two types of Bishwa Bangla scholarships available for the masters degree programmes.
The applicants of Bishwa Bangla Scholarships are those who are residents in the state of West Bengal, India.
Total value of Bishwa Bangla Scholarships for the year 2019-20: £38,001
The scholarships are only for one year.
Eligible programmes:
MA South Asian Area Studies (1 year full time).
Part time programmes are not eligible.
New admission only.
Eligibility criteria for candidate:
The candidate must be the resident of West Bengal, India.
The candidates, therefore, must be eligible to pay fees at the overseas rate.
The candidates must have an offer of admission to the full time MA South Asian Area Studies by the scholarship application deadline. (16:00, UK local time) on 20th February 2019.
The candidates have to meet the English language condition of their offer of admission to study at SOAS as soon as possible but no later than 1st June 2019.
This scholarship cannot be held along with many other major scholarship or studentship.
Assessment Procedure:
Advisory Panel, consisting of at least three academic members, will assess the candidates on academic merit.
Candidate’s application will be assessed on the basis of the information provided in your scholarship application and in your own online admission application for admission. The selection committee will look at the Degree results. they will also look at academic references, statement and other relevant information.
Application Deadline:
Candidates must apply for this scholarship within 20th February 2019 ( no later than 16.00 UK local time).
The applicants must try to apply for the program about 6 weeks before the scholarship deadline.
The applicants must note that complete applications for admission can take up to 4 weeks to be considered by the department, although this duration can be depending on the time of the year. You must be prepared to wait up to 6 weeks in the busy periods.
They will reject Late or incomplete applications. So, be very careful.
Result:
They will notify the result of the successful candidates by the end of June. Therefore, keep yourself updated.

Applicants must submit a complete online application for admission. So, go to the official website.
The applicants must have an offer of admission to the full time MBA South Asian area studies at SOAS.
The complete application for admission includes transcripts, an explanation of the grading system for any degrees obtained outside of the UK, two references, CV a personal statement. The panel will consider your scholarship application together with your online application for admission. So, keep all documents handy.

Apply for the scholarship by (16.00 UK local time) on 20 February 2019 and therefore you must apply for the scholarship via online application form.
