Mother India has given birth to many renowned talents. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was one of such talents. He was a statesman (রাজনীতিবিদ), poet and educationist (শিক্ষাবিদ). He was born on 11 November in the year of 1988. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad worked as a journalist and protested against the British Raj as a journalist. He was enthusiastic (উৎসাহী) supporter (সমর্থক) of Gandhiji’s ideas. He was also a great leader of Indian National Congress. He also wrote poetry in Urdu and wrote many books ike ‘India Wins Freedom’, ‘Ghubar-e-Khatir’ etc. He was the first Education Minister of independent (স্বাধীন) India and his birthday is celebrated (পালিত হয়) as National Education Day. This great son of India died on 22 February, 1958.
