XYZ High School, Howrah, 10th August, 2021: Our school organized a programme on “Educate the Girl Child’ in the school auditorium on 12/5/2021. The programme started at 11 a.m. About 150 guardians took part in this programme. The teachers and some female celebrities of our district from different fields of activities graced the occasion with their bright presence. Some experts on the mentioned subject also participated in the programme. The programme was meant for educating the girl students who do not get proper education. Some issues like gender discrimination, female foeticide, empowerment of women, sexual harassment etc. were also explained in the programme. But the main focus of the programme was on the need of propoer education in the life of girl children in rural Bengal. The experts talked freely to the students and guardians and tried to guide them in the right way. The guardians were made conscious of the value-based education for their girl children. The experts requested the guardians to provide their wards with quality time for bridging the gaps between their wards and themselves. In short the entire programme was a great success.
