XYZ School, Bankura, 6th June, 2021: Like every year, the World Environment Day was observed in our school yesterday. In order to aware the students about the importance of the day, various types of programmes were arranged. The headmaster presided over the function. The B.D.O, the local MLA and the principal of the local college whre invited to participate in this programme.
The function was inaugurated by planting some saplings in the school premises by the president. Then the students planted saplings around the school. Some other students fenced the newly planted saplings. After the completion of this plantation drive, the guests, one by one, delivered their speeches about the necessity of pollution-free atmosphere. They encourage the young students to plant more trees true combat the bad effect of global warming. Last of all, the president of the function, delivered his speech and declared the end of the function. The entire function was a great success.
