About the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations board:
The board was established in 1962 by the Government of West Bengal. It was given authority to conduct and operate the Joint Entrance Examination for admission to various institutions in West Bengal in medical, engineering and technological courses. The board conducts the Common Entrance Examination for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate professional and vocational courses both in undergraduate and postgraduate level. West Bengal Board of Joint Entrance Examination conducts the admission process through online application and allotment through e- counselling since 2012.
WBJEE is about to conduct the Common Entrance Examination 2019 for admission to undergraduate courses in Engineering and Technology pharmacy and Architecture Courses in university in Government colleges and self financing Engineering and Technologcal institutes in West Bengal for the academic session 2019-20.

The candidates who are willing to apply for this examination must notice carefully the following points.
If the application is received, it will be constructed that the candidates agree to all the terms and conditions, rules and regulations of the board.
Applications, which are not in compliance with the conditions which are specified in the Information Bulletin, will be rejected.
The candidate can apply for WBJEE- 2019 through online only. Printed copy of the application form is unavailable.
The candidate must fill the genuine application form available online at the official website www.wbjeeb.nic.in
It is mandatory for the candidate to have a valid mobile number and a valid email ID.
All the information will be sent to this registered mobile number and email ID.
The candidates must be careful about the fact that the registration details such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, date of birth which are entered and submitted, cannot be edited or changed under the normal circumstances.
The candidate should not try to make any duplicate application.
keep the application number password Security question/answer must be confidential. Do not share with others.
The candidate must upload the scanned copy of his photograph and signature as instructed.
If any correction needed, then do it within the given period of correction. The board will not do any kind of correction thereafter.
If any candidate gets an SMS or Email regarding discrepancy of photograph or signature uploaded by him or her, he or she must take the action immediately within one day.
Fees:
Fees for application for WBJEE in 2019 is rupees 500 ( Five Hundred only). Pay through net banking or debit card or credit card.

Mode of the exam:
The examination will be in offline mode (OMR based examination)
subjects:
paper I – mathematics
paper II -Physics and Chemistry (combined).
The candidates, who will appear both in Paper-I and Paper-II and who will be awarded the GMR ranks, will be eligible for admission in Engineering or Technology or Architecture or Pharmacy Courses in all institutes.
Those candidates who will appear in only Paper-I and who will be awarded PMR ranks will be eligible for admission only in Pharmacy Courses except in Jadavpur University.
Date and Time Schedule of the Examination 2019:
WB Joint Entrance Examination 2019 will be held on 26th May 2019 (Sunday). This is tentative date and this date may be changed in extraordinary circumstances.
The examination of Paper-I, that is, Mathematics, will start from 11.00 a.m. and continue up to 1.00 p.m.
The examination of paper-II, that is, Physics and Chemistry, will start from 2.00 p.m. and continue up to 4 p.m.
Eligibility:
The candidate must be a citizen of India.
To appear in this examination, the lower age limit is 17 years as on 31/12/2019.
The date of birth of the candidate must be on or before 31/12/2002.
In case of Marine Engineering course, the lower age limit is 17 years as on 31/12/2019 and the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31/12/2019.
To get admission to Engineering Courses, the candidates have to pass the qualifying examination10 + 2 examination with Physics and Mathematics along with anyone of Chemistry or Biology for Biotechnology or Computer Science or Computer Application or Technical vocational subject as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks in both theory and practical wherever applicable.
The candidate must obtain 45% marks (40% in case of SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD).
The candidates have to pass English in10 + 2 examination with at least 30% marks.
The board of the above mentioned qualifying examination should be recognised by Central Government or State Government concerned.
To get admission to pharmacy courses,
The candidates must pass10 + 2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks in both theory and practical wherever applicable in regular class mode.
The candidate must obtain 45% marks (40% in case of SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD candidate).
The candidates must pass English in the 10 + 2 examination with 30% marks at least.
The Board must be recognised by the central government or State Government concerned.
Those candidates who are going to appear in the qualifying examination 10 + 2 examination in 2019 can sit in the WB JEE 2019, but they will not be eligible for the allotment of seat for admission if the candidate does not pass the qualifying examination with the required minimum eligibility criteria.
