XYZ HS, Medinipur,12th September, 2019 : Yesterday, ABC School arranged a cleaning drive in our locality. All the students and the entire staff of the school took part in the cleaning drive. All the students took brooms, buckets and spades. Wherever the saw any garbage, they removed it immediately. They spread bleaching powder to the dirty areas. They also cleaned the water-logged areas. The teachers also streached their hands in the cleaning operation. The work continued for about eight hours, starting from nine in the morning and ending at about five in the evening.
The entire area got a new look and beauty. There was a lunch break lasting for about an hour. The work spanned the entire locality which was being criticized for careless disposal of plastic wrappers. It is hearty enough to see the school taking steps in the matter. Such a project has been appreciated and praised by the Government and all the people. It served as an eye-opener to the Municipality, which has been quite negligent of its duties in the past few months. This was really a great experience.
