Ans: The rabbit-hole went straight on like a tunnel for some way. Then it dipped suddenly down.

Question: Where did Alice imagine herself getting to? What distance, according to her, did she fall?

Ans: Alice imagined herself getting somewhere near the centre of the earth.

She fancied that she fell four thousand miles down.
